Kristin Russell, a captain in the Air Force, had spent years tracking down the perfect Father’s Day gift for Dave, her stepdad – a 1973 Porsche 914. The reason? The car is exactly like one Dave owned many years ago and had planned to restore but spent the money he’d saved to do so on a wedding to Kristin’s mother.

Luckly, after two years of looking for a similar car, Kristin finally found and had it prepped for a Father’s Day delivery. The moment he received the surprise gift was captured n the video below.

“My stepdad is awesome,” Russell wrote in the video caption. “My first memories of him are playing Barbies with me and reading to me. He coached every softball team I was on and came to every Karate tournament. He never had to do any of that.”

When he sees the car, Dave outside immediately falls in love with it even before she tells him that it’s for him. When Kristin finally says, “It’s yours,” Dave shouts in excitement then pulls his daughter in tight for a long hug in a touching moment.
