Childbirth is probably the most universal human event. According to the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention, about 10,829 babies daily, and the details of how, when, and where they arrive are always shifting.

The whole process is truly special and wonderful and there aren’t very many surprises to be had. However, there are rare problems that can be devastating to a family so it’s best to stay educated.

Take for instance this family’s story. While it has a happy ending, we must watch out, because this could happen to anyone.

When their twins were born they appeared to be healthy and happy. Little did they know, their mother was carrying a dangerous virus and the effect it had on one of her twins will shock you to the core.
