People often wonder what dogs do when home alone – maybe just take an extended nap, or even maybe look for squirrels outside the window to bark at! However, in reality, they’re doing something that will touch your heartstrings.

This video shows the loyalty that dogs have for their humans, and just how much they miss them when they’re not around. As this German Shepard’s humans were about to go out for dinner, they mounted a camera on her back. Once they got back, they checked the video and what they saw was adorably heartbreaking:

This dog loves his humans so much, and when they left, all he did was wait for them to come back. If this doesn’t make you love dogs more, I just don’t know what will.
