Enterprise Worker’s Act Of Kindness Takes The Internet By Storm

On July 13, Coty Vincent walked into an Enterprise Rent-A-Car office after a hit-and-run accident damaged her car. But she never expected to get more than just a car rental. Vincent posted a photo on Facebook of an employee named John Goodlett holding one of her twins. In the caption, she explained the reason, and it’s going viral.

She wrote: “While he helped me with my rental due to a hit-and-run accident, he held one of my twin sons as I don’t have a double stroller.” Then added, “One of the most compassionate and caring people I’ve ever met. We need more people like John who go that extra step.”

To encourage others to be as selfless as Goodlett, Vincent added the hashtag #BeAJohn to her post, which has since gone viral with more than 200,000 reactions and 25,000 shares.

Vincent told The Huffington Post she was shocked her post became so popular and that she simply wanted to highlight that Goodlett’s gesture “meant so much” to her as a mom of twins.

“Daily tasks that use to be simple are no longer that when you have two babies who can’t independently walk yet,” she said.

Eventually, the Facebook post caught the eye of Enterprise. On July 15, the company posted that it was giving Vincent a double stroller for her twins and that a surprise was in the works for Goodlett.

This simple act of kindness toward a mom of twins has inspired a heartwarming response online. Vincent’s Facebook post has resonated with thousands of people applauding Goodlett for his selflessness and kindness. For Goodlett, it was just a chance to lend a helping hand.

“I’m a twin myself, and it was instinctual,” he said. “I understood she just needed somebody to help her out.”

Compassion goes a long way. Pass it on!
