Man Left In Shock After Mad Neighbor Bulldozes His House

Normally, when you try to settle a dispute with a neighbor you talk it out or take matters to court. In this case it was taken to the extreme, literally.

A dispute between two neighbors- Edgar McLellan and John Higdon- that began Friday night after Higdon fired a shot into the woods near his Tennessee home, ended up with Mclellan bulldozing Higdon’s home.

According to the Tipton County Police report, “John Higdon was arrested after allegedly firing shots into the woods. Around 2:15 a.m. Saturday, a neighbor called emergency officials to report that a man, later identified as McLellan, was bulldozing Higdon’s home.”

Edgar McLellan was charged for criminal trespassing and felony vandalism after evidence showed debris from Higdon’s home in McLellan’s backhoe.

Higdon and McLellan are free on bond awaiting their arraignments later this week. Detectives from the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate the incidents and expect there will be additional charges, according to a department release.
