Being a single parent is not easy. You would do anything to make your kids happy.

Single mother, Yevetter Vasquez, decided to dress up as a dad so her 12-year-old son, Elijah, wouldn’t have to miss out on a “Donuts With Dad” event at school.

One morning Vasquez was dropping her son off at school when she noticed there were more cars parked there than usual. She asked her son, “what’s going on? Is there some event that I’m supposed to be here for?” To which her son responded, “No, don’t worry. It’s just Donuts With Dad.”

Vasquez was upset that her son would miss out on the event, so she thought of a very clever idea. With very little time until class started, Vasquez went back home and put on a fake mustache, a button-down shirt, and a baseball cap. She dressed up as a man and showed up to the event.

“When we walked into the library, there were a whole bunch of men, and a lot of them were cheering,” Vasquez said. “Elijah was just smiling really big. It was a lot of fun, and of course, we got doughnuts.”

Elijah asked his mother to share their story on Facebook, after having such a fun time at the event. Their story soon went viral being shared over 16,000 times!

This mother was very clever and it shows how much she cares for her son.
