11-Year-Old Boy Finds Young Girl Buried Alive, Takes Quick Action To Save Her Life

With quick thinking and immediate action an 11-year-old boy saved a 5-year-old girl’s life

Connor Fitz-Gerald was playing in the sand at Marina Dunes with a few of his friends. They were digging up caves. Suddenly he noticed something in the sand.

Fitz-Gerald discovered 5-year-old, Alyssa Bostic, buried alive. Bostic was also digging up caves when one of them collapsed, leaving the little girl buried in the sand.

The young boy acted quickly. He started digging where the little girls head was first. Once he was able to get her out, he started performing CPR.

Connor’s dad told KSBV news how proud he was of his son. He said, “I am glad he was able to sit back and go, wait a minute something’s going on, there’s not a parent here, I know they’re at least a quarter mile away, I need to do something,”

Soon after the girl became conscious paramedics arrived. They said that thanks to the brave 11-year-old, Alyssa was saved from what could have been a fatal accident.

Funny thing is that Connor never took a CPR class. He told reporters that everything he knew about CPR was from what he had seen on the tv show NCIS.
