Woman Born With No Muscles Beat The Odds And Gave Birth To A Baby Boy

Life is full of obstacles that we need to get through. Some have tougher obstacles than others.

22 years ago, Sheree Psaila was born with a rare condition called arthrogryposis multiplex congenita. This meant that she was born with no muscle tissue in her arms or legs. The doctors told her parents that she wouldn’t live past the age of one.

22 years later Sheree has proven science wrong. That already being a miracle, Sheree had bigger plans in life. She wanted to have a child with her husband, even though doctors told her it would be nearly impossible.

Sheree has been told a lot of things weren’t possible since she was born and yet she kept overcoming them. When she was young Psaila had over 20 unsuccessful surgeries trying to improve her condition. Doctors had suggested that she be put in a wheelchair and put in special needs classes.

By the age of 5 Psaila took her first steps. She went to a normal school and lived a normal childhood. While in school, she met her husband, Chris, who has a condition that affects his lower spine.

The two got married back in 2015 and wanted to have a child together. Unfortunately their first pregnancy was a miscarriage. But after gaining hope they decided to try again. “The doctors told me I probably wouldn’t be able to have kids, although they didn’t give me a reason why not,” she said.

Sheree successfully gave birth, through a cesarean section, to baby Hayden. The little baby weighed five-and-a-half pounds and had no disabilities or heredity conditions. The boy was born completely healthy.

Besides all the odds this family faced, they are now happier than ever.
