Drinking and driving is never acceptable. Unfortunately intoxicated driving happens way to often. This woman decided to take an Uber home and leave her car at the restaurant in order to avoid drinking and driving. When she came the next day to pick up her car, she got a very lovely note.
After a night of drinking with her husband, Paula Grzelak-Shultz decided that she had too much to drink and needed to take an Uber home. She left her car at Original Joes in Sherwood Park, not knowing what would happen to her car. Anything could’ve happened to it but she just avoid hurting her self or anyone else due to drinking and driving.
When Paula came back the next morning to pick up her car, she was worried that it wouldn’t even be there. To her surprise, not only was the car there, but the restaurant had left her a very lovely note on her windshield.
She shared the not on Facebook where it quickly went viral, receiving over 8,000 shares and 20,000 Likes.
The note read:
“Dear Original Joe’s Sherwood Park Guest,
Just wanted to thank you for leaving your car parked overnight. I’m not sure if you had consumed alcohol at our restaurant or not, but we wanted to thank you for not drinking and driving. Enclosed is voucher good for 1lb of our delicious chicken wings. Please accept this as a thank you for being responsible. Life is valuable, have a great weekend.”
