They say everyone has a soulmate, someone they were meant to spend the rest of their lives with. Destiny brought these two together in the most movie-like way.

It all began when Heather was diagnosed with stage 4 liver disease. The doctors had left the 27-year-old in shock when they told her she only had a few months to live. She needed a liver transplant as soon as possible, but there was no time to find a donor. That’s when Chris stepped into the picture.

It was by coincidence that one day Chris overheard his co-workers talking about Heather’s situation. Something made him very intrigued and he wanted to help Heather out, even though he had never met this woman in his life. “I spent 4 years in the marine corps,” says Chris, “and I learned there never to run away from anything. So I just said to myself, ‘hey, if I can help, I’m gonna help!’”

Heather was filled with joy when doctors told her they found a donor. Chris and Heather became close after the procedure. Now a year and a half later the two got married.

It’s incredible how the right person finds their way to you. This is truly a match made in Heaven.
