After Donald Trump’s win there has been an uprising in hateful crimes. In this case a student from Baylor University, earlier this week, got pushed off the sidewalk and got called the “n” word.

Natasha Nkhama, an African American student at Baylor University, was walking to her dorm after class when a white male purposely bumped into her. He called her the “n” word, telling her that she didn’t belong in the sidewalk.

Another student was walking by when he confronted the attacker saying, “Dude what are you doing? That’s not cool.” That’s when the attacker responding with, “Dude, like what…I’m just trying to make America great again.”

Natasha was in shock. She could not believed what had just happened to her. When she arrived to her dorm, she recorded a video explaining what she had just experienced. Her video was seen across the campus.

It was after the video was uploaded that more than 300 students, alumni, and staff members, walked Natasha to class. She was moved by all the people that supported her.

The university is aware of the incident and are calling it “deeply disturbing.” They said they were working with Natasha “to ensure she feels safe and supported by the Baylor community.”
