The bond between a dog and his owner is something that could never be broken. This dog named Mollie would follow he owner everywhere he went, but unfortunately he went to a place where she could no longer follow him.

In a turn of events for the Jessen family, Mollie’s owner, 33-year-old Ryan Jessen, was hospitalized after suffering a brain hemorrhage. Unfortunately he would not be able to recover from it. Sadly on November 30th Ryan passed away. As the family stood in the room grieving, they remembered how much he meant to Mollie. The family asked if they could bring her in so she could say her final goodbyes.

Ryan’s sister posted on Facebook saying:

“The hospital did the sweetest thing for us and allowed us to bring my brother’s dog in to ‘say goodbye’ so she’d know why her human never came home. If you knew my brother, he really loved his sweet dog.”

The family shared the video of Mollie’s final goodbye on Facebook. And although it was meant for people that knew Ryan personally, the video struck people from all over the world.

“We are sincerely touched and humbled by others’ stories, their sharing in our sadness and the kindness of so many people,” Michelle writes. “Don’t worry about the dog! We’re keeping her!!! She’s part of the family.”
