Surveillance cameras caught the horrifying moment a woman carrying a baby approaches the counter at the Alta Convenience store in Arvada, CO, and collapses as she tries to pay for a soda. Thankfully, the cashier, Rebecca Montano, noticed the mother had a dazed look in her eyes and somehow was able to save the baby.

In the video, the mother begins tilting her head back and swaying from side to side. That’s when Rebecca became concerned. As the young mother collapsed, the quick-thinking clerk quickly reached over the counter, grabbed the baby and cradled her in her arms. “It was motherly instinct,” the clerk told reporters.

The young mother, who remains anonymous, apparently suffered a seizure. Fortunately, and thanks to this heroic cashier, both Mom and baby are okay.
