A mother of three was having troubles maneuvering her wheelchair-dependants daughter while at the same time trying to keep track of her two-year-old son during her shopping trips. She felt as if there should be an easier way to get around. That’s when she got to thinking and thought up of Caroline’s Cart.
Caroline’s Cart is a company named after Drew Ann’s daughter. These carts are specially made to fit in grown children who are unable to walk, or older adults that find it hard to get around themselves.
Her invention quickly started being distributed to stores around the world, from Walmart to Target and many other stores.
Initially the goal was to include her daughter in all her daily activities, which part of it included shopping. So the cart was specially designed to fit Caroline, making it easier for Drew Ann to get around.
“It provides parents and caregivers a viable option to transport a child through a store while grocery shopping, without having the impossible task of having to maneuver a wheelchair and a traditional grocery cart at the same time,” said Drew Ann.
What started out as an idea to help herself and her daughter, has become a world wide product that has helped millions of families.
