We often hear stories of humans rescuing animals, but in times of sadness and healing, our animal friends can help us get through tough challenges.
Rescued wolves at the Lockwood Animal Rescue Center in Frazier Park, California, are rehabilitated along with our returning combat veterans. These wolves assist these men and woman of service as they make the transition back to society.
This therapeutic program offers a unique opportunity to help our heroes recover from the stresses and traumas of war – the readjustment involved in coming home is a crucial step towards a normal civilian life. Healing with wolves might seem strange, but for these veterans, it’s a miracle.
